There is a lot to smile about already on May Day, a nice day off to relax and enjoy the spring weather. Perhaps a picnic, laughing and smiling with family and friends. But what if the thought of smiling and laughing fills you with dread because you are unhappy with your teeth’s appearance? Well, at sparkle Dental Boutique we have just the treatment to transform your teeth into beautiful gleaming smiles.
Often drawing comparisons with false nails (but for the mouth), porcelain veneers are wafer thin shells of tooth coloured material which both protect and decorate unsightly or damaged teeth.
Veneers can either be made from porcelain or composite bonding material. Porcelain is a more natural looking, stain resistant and durable material. In fact, the main advantage of composite bonding material is that it is cheaper. Porcelain veneers, however, can last for much longer than their composite counterparts, meaning that, in the long run, porcelain veneers can end up being cheaper. It is because of these advantages that we produce porcelain veneers.
Stained, damaged or gap ridden teeth can all be aided by porcelain veneers. Although not ideal, veneers can also aid with slightly crooked teeth. In a process nicknamed ‘instant orthodontics’, veneers can be applied to cover over a crooked smile and give the appearance of uniform teeth.
To accommodate the veneers, a tiny part of your teeth’s front surface will be trimmed. A dental imprint will then be produced and sent to a lab where your veneers will be produced. Whilst waiting for your proper veneers, temporary ones will likely be fitted. Once the real deal arrives, they will be fitted and you can start grinning! Why not contact the team at Sparkle Dental Boutique near Ealing for more information on our veneer treatment options.
