Having gained a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Krakow, Poland, Joanna has gone on to qualify as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from Kings College London. Joanna is a dedicated, highly motivated and passionate hygienist with a gentle touch which puts patients at ease.
Good dental hygiene is not only about your teeth and gums. Research shows that non-oral health problems, including heart disease, stroke, and bone loss, are associated with poor dental hygiene.
Joanna provides a full range of dental hygiene treatments and takes great care of our patients, making sure that their oral health is her first priority. Joanna cares for smiles of all ages and as a therapist is able to provide preventative and restorative treatment for both adults and children. She is also qualified in providing teeth whitening procedures under prescription from a dentist.
Joanna's Areas Of Special Interest Include:
- Oral hygiene education
- Periodontal therapy (root surface debridement)
- Antimicrobial therapy in treatment of periodontal disease
- Tooth desensitisation procedures
- Airflow (stain removal)
- Preventative treatment (fluoride therapy and application of pit and fissure sealants)
- Application of permanent and temporary restorations for both adults and children.
Periodontal disease can often go unnoticed until it is quite advanced. However, most people will notice signs like red, swollen gums, bleeding gums, gum recession, tooth sensitivity and bad breath. It’s at this point that I can help to ensure your gums stay healthy.
